This series is rooted in family history and some of the artist's earliest artistic influences. The foundation of this work stems from the geography of memory: Lev's grandparents lived just a mile away in Brighton Beach, providing a physical grounding that makes Coney Island more than just a famous landmark. More critically, the artistic impulse was inherited directly, as his grandfather, an artist himself, taught Lev art from a very young age, establishing the visual grammar and passion for color that would later define Lev's own style.

As artist and photographer, Lev's many trips to Luna Park transcend mere creative exploration; they are a deep dive into the vibrant color palette of his youth, seeking out the emotional charge embedded in the neon lights and vintage signage. This process involves transforming the park's vibrant chaos into multilayered, dream-like compositions that are visual connections to his grandfather’s legacy.
